High Voltage Equipment
Protecting and controlling critical power infrastructure
Reliable switching, isolation, measurement and voltage-control equipment is essential to the safety and performance of substations, generation facilities, data centers and industrial power systems. Crimson coordinates project-specific equipment through a multi-manufacturer network, aligning ratings, applicable standards, interfaces and delivery requirements.
Circuit breakers
High-voltage circuit breakers interrupt load and fault current so equipment can be protected and safely isolated. Selection considers system voltage, continuous current, short-circuit duty, interrupting time, insulation level, operating mechanism, control voltage, ambient conditions and the project’s protection philosophy.
Disconnect switches
Disconnectors provide visible isolation for inspection and maintenance. We coordinate operating configuration, current and voltage class, short-time withstand duty, mounting arrangement, motor or manual operation, interlocking and grounding-switch requirements.
Instrument transformers
Current transformers and voltage transformers provide the scaled signals used by metering, protection, control and automation systems. Accuracy class, burden, ratio, insulation level, transient performance and physical interfaces must match the intended application.
Surge arresters and insulation coordination
Surge arresters help protect transformers, switchgear and other assets from lightning and switching overvoltages. The offered rating and energy capability are coordinated with system grounding, insulation levels, environmental conditions and the wider insulation-coordination study.
Capacitor banks and reactors
Capacitor banks and reactors support voltage regulation, power-factor correction, harmonic management and reactive-power control. Duty cycle, switching conditions, harmonic environment, protection, controls and layout are reviewed before equipment selection.
Switchgear and related systems
Crimson can coordinate AIS and GIS equipment, protection and control panels, station-service equipment, power cables and associated substation packages within the agreed scope. Equipment is selected around the single-line diagram, operating philosophy and site interfaces.
What to share for an inquiry
Send the single-line diagram or equipment specification, system voltage and frequency, continuous-current and fault-current requirements, insulation level, operating environment, quantities, destination and target delivery date. We will identify the information still needed and coordinate technical and commercial clarification with suitable manufacturers.
Standards and delivery
Applicable IEEE/ANSI requirements are identified for the offered equipment, with UL listing and CSA certification addressed where required and confirmed for the specific product. Crimson can coordinate technical submissions, production milestones, inspection and testing, logistics, site services and commissioning support.
