These are illustrative examples, subject to confirmation of specifications, production-slot availability and the agreed delivery scope. Contact Crimson to confirm the schedule for your project.
Check availability for your project
Crimson supports data centers, utilities, EPCs, renewable-energy developers and industrial teams with transformer sourcing and coordinated delivery from engineering review through commissioning.
ATEF power transformers — up to 800 MVA and 525 kV
ATEF publishes oil-immersed power-transformer capability up to 800 MVA and 525 kV. Its range includes step-down and station transformers, step-up and generator transformers, phase-shifting transformers, rectifier transformers, electric-arc-furnace transformers, traction transformers, autotransformers and shunt reactors. ATEF states that its transformers have been tested and certified by KEMA and CESI laboratories. The offered design, standards, tests and certification are confirmed for each project.
Oil distribution transformers — up to 5,000 kVA and 52 kV
ATEF’s published range includes hermetically sealed, gas-insulated, flanged and expansion-tank designs. Voltage regulation may be specified with an on-load tap changer (OLTC) or off-circuit tap changer (OCTC). Windings may be aluminum or copper, and low-loss designs can be supplied on request. Tank and coating options include corrugated-wall construction, epoxy-based protective coating, and cold or hot galvanizing for demanding coastal or offshore environments.
Dry-type transformers — up to 12 MVA and 35 kV
Published options include cast-resin GEOFOL-type insulation and air-insulated dry-type designs, with or without a compact removable enclosure. Aluminum or copper foil and wire winding options are available. Depending on the project, thermal classes B, F, H and C and forced-ventilation systems with controls can be considered.
Additional transformer solutions
Through our multi-manufacturer platform, Crimson can also coordinate generator step-up, substation, pad-mounted, pole-mounted, renewable-energy and specialty transformers. Ratings, enclosure, cooling, impedance, tap-changing, losses, sound level, accessories and site interfaces are reviewed against the customer’s specification.
Applicable standards
Equipment is sourced to applicable IEEE/ANSI requirements. UL listing and CSA certification are addressed where required and confirmed for the specific equipment offered. Published manufacturer maxima do not mean that every voltage and MVA combination is available.
From engineering review to site delivery
Crimson coordinates technical clarifications, drawings, production planning, milestone reporting, factory testing, specialist transformer transport, customs brokerage and trade-attorney support, warehousing where needed, offloading, rigging, installation, oil supply, agreed field testing and commissioning. Manufacturer-backed warranty is a minimum of two years, with final terms defined in the project agreement.
